Super duper lucky ...

Yesterday , I sat for my first exam paper . I didn't really study for it . Maybe because I wasn't in mood in studying . My stomach was bloaty and I didn't feel like doing anything . The topics that I was OK with it are those that I had test on it because .

As RMIT doesn't had a place for examination to house many students at one go . So we had to travel to Melbourne sports hall to take our exams . Early in the morning , I meet Nicole because I don't know how to go to the place . We had to take a tram to Brouke street then , change another tram to the sports hall . The entire journey take about 30 minutes . 

When I arrived at the sports hall , its was divided into 2 halls . Each hall could house up till 808 students ! Its was super crowded . This reminds me of Great Singapore Sale ! People having hard time to get across the room .

Then when the door opening , everyone starts rushing in . I had to keep a look out for my number because there are so many tables ! When I found my desk , I quickly settle down , take my stuff out and wait for instructions to start reading . 

As I read through the paper , I feel lucky because those that I do not know was not given . I am so glad ! But as I start doing , the paper don't seem simple . I am not confident that I will get it right or not for the questions . I just wrote down what I know .

After the exam , Nicole and I took the tram back . As we validate our tickets , we realized that it is till the next day 3 am . We did not want to waste the ticket so we out . I accompanied her to Box Hill to see a dentist .

Box Hill is another place where all the asian people stayed . Its an 50 minutes ride of tram from the city . Chinese vegetables can be found there . I took my lunch there , serving was big yet price is reasonable ! A big bowl of noodle for $7.50 ! 

After visiting the dentist , we head back to city and ended our day by intending to eat desserts . But end up , we ate rice and drank some stuff . 

Good news to share ! My family is coming to Australia ! They just bought air tickets yesterday . Now , the problem is where to stay  Seems like hotels in Australia seems to be fully booked ! And yes , after Australia , we will go to Japan .

Let me update my holiday plan for November . My family is no longer coming to Australia . Instead we are going to Japan for holiday . This is because there is no enough people in the tour group so we had decided to switch to other tour group . So my sister will arrive Australia on the 12th to help me pack my stuff . Then we'll depart Australia on the 17th Nov , arriving Singapore on the 17th Nov around 10 pm . Then on 18th Nov midnight , I will depart Singapore for Japan and arrive back at Singapore on the 26 Nov . Yup ... so I mass smses everyone on te 26th Nov when I reached Singapore .

Last night , I was suppose to update my blog . But I had an adventurous night out that I am too tired to blog and so start blogging now . 

Yesterday , I had gone to suburb for Japanese buffet with Nicole . It was kind of sudden because I got bored while studying and Nicole don't want to eat . In order to get her to say ' yes ' to food , I suggested Japanese Buffet . Upon , hearing Japanese buffet , she immediately agree ! Though she is bamboo , but she really can eat !!! 

Nicole had the address but she did not know which shop was that . So we went online to do an online search and so happen that there is this restaurant fits the description . A Japanese buffet at $28 per person . Note : There is no triple + charge in Australia . Thus , its worth it ! 

We quickly head over there because I had made a reservation at 7 pm . We took a train to Melbourne central and change train at Richmon  and alighted at Brighton. Actually , its Nicole that do the search , I just follow , muhahaha . We walked about 800 m to the shop ! Its is located quite a distant from the train station . By the way Brighton is near a beach , its very nice and there are many beautiful houses 

When we reached our destination , it is already 7.20 pm . Luckily , the boss did not turn us away because its 80 % full . Then , we proceed ordering . To my surprised , all came at one go ! So we had to make space for all the food ! Hahas ... the tempura was great ! The restaurant is generous with the serving . They gave each of us 2 medium prawns and a sweet potato . Then fried tou fu , groyza , fried chicken and salmon sashimin . Woooo~

Even green tea ice-cream , fruits are included in the buffet ! It was a good and worth it buffet . Then we had to walk 800 m back to the train station . Its was kind of errie , was no one was in sight . Then there was this announcement , ' Train services disrupted , please use the Replacement bus service ' . Then we quickly head out of the train station and went to the bus station . 

I thought that the bus would follow the route and send us back to Richmon so that we can take the train back home . But this was not the case . The send us to the next train line so that we could take the train back ! When it reached Caufield , there is lots of people alighting , we also followed . I remembered that placed because I alighted there before with my cousin the other time . Then we board the train the at head to the city ! I was thinking how did I landed on the bus that I do not know where it leads me ...

We were suppose to reach city by 10.45 but because the train had broken down , so we reached city at 11.45 pm . The good thing about staying in the city is all the line will stop at the central station . I can't imagine when I moved to Bundoora . 

Recently , I got to listen the Jay's latest album ! I was super happy to hear it in Australia ! I thought I had to wait till when I reach Singapore . All thanks to XXXX XXXX ... I don't want to type the name out else everyone will get from hXX . I think its is almost the standard of the standard Fantasy ! But of course , Fantasy is better .

It had reached Melbourne today but it had not reached my hands , I guess I had to wait till Monday then I will get it . Yes , I bought it online . Can you all guess what it is ?

Hahas ... how many of you guess correctly ? Hahas , it was a sudden thought to buy it . And it is purple in colour . Hahas ... did you all got surprised twice ? I was surfing the apple website for program to download . And the I-Pod Nano caught my attention ! Then I when to shop online tab to find out how much it cost . Then I went to Singapore website to find out how much it cost in SGD . Then , I went to Australia and find out how it cost . I then realized that if I buy from Australia website , I saved $50 SGD ! And I also can have free laser engraving !                   

                                                       

But there is two disclaimer ! First , the colour is not the same as what I saw online , it is a very dark purple . Second , many people have purple colour ! 

The 4th generation of I-pod Nano comes with many different colours . Its makes me want to be bold with my colour choice . I was sitting on the fence between white(grey) or black . Then my sister said blue , my brother said purple . I was thinking blue in the aluminum casing might not be nice so I decided to go with purple . Dearest friends ... bEl is still the same bEl ... 

I told Nicole stayed home the whole day when I bought the Nano . She said , ' Wah ... I ' pei fu ( impress )' you , stay at home also can can spend money , some more few hundreds . ' 

If Nano come le , I don't think I will online that often le ... anything please drop me an email ...

On Friday , I received a surprise mail from MIRABEL ! She sent me a bookmark and a keychain ! Though its a gift while she is traveling , I see that as a gift to spur me on for my exams . The keychain is made of wood . I am glad the customs did not confiscate it because you are not allow to bring wood into Australia . The keychain is a face of POOH ! I will take pictures when I got my Nano ... 

I guess this post is long enough ... wish my all the best bah in my semester exams ... Those who wants to get from Australia , I don't mind letting you to use my Australia Address . You can ship it to your house .

Heee ... I short update before I head to watch prince of tennis ... 

Yesterday , I just ended my last day of school . I felt happy because the day that I am heading back to Singapore is getting nearer . Not mention , since its the last day of school , there bound to be some mini celebration !

Yes , me and Nicole again ! Actually , we intend to have Japanese buffet at the suburb but her discussion ended late so we can't go for Japanese buffet . End up , we had Japanese food and watched movie . Hahas , yea ... my second movie in Melbourne . We watched Eagle Eye . The movie was fantastic ! Its seems to be something that might happen in the future . How technology is going to take over our lives . Many things that used to be in the movies are happening now . Hmmm ... so will I lived that long to experience such stuff or it had already exist ?

I am now on a tight budget , I am trying not to get my mum to send money . So , I have $60 for 4 weeks . I will try my best to survive in that condition ! I think I can make it if I don't eat out at all because I just need to get vegetables and milk from now on !

I hope to start revising as soon as possible , hopefully , I am able to watch all the episodes of Prince of tennis .

Engine just started to warm up ...

After having fun for so long , I finally ready to study . Probably I had fun after I ended my studies at Polytechnic . Last night , I stayed up all night to do my assignments and revise for my test till 5 am in the morning . Instead of feeling tired , I felt like its a feeling I missed . The fear of not making the grade . In polytechnic , as long as you have regularly attendance , you definitely will pass . But in RMIT , its different , if you don't make it , they will just fail you .

Since yesterday , I had started drinking coffee to keep myself awake . It started when I attended a morning lecture . Despite having enough sleep , I still felt tired . I had to poke myself with a mechanical pencil to keep my thoughts straight . I said poke , not stabbed myself . When I poke myself , I can control how much pain I am feeling . Stabbed is when you see blood ~ . Then a cup of coffee keeps me going from 12.30 to 5.30 , and with that I manage to burn midnight oil too ! 

No pictures of food or dessert to upload today because I didn't meet Nicole after class . I went for test first then I went for another class . She had for class first then for test because she don't feel prepared for the test . I didn't want to go to class because the content of the lecture is heavy . If I go for class , I might forget what I studied for test . 

Then after class , I went to the Hungry Jack for dinner . Its a fast food restaurant that specialise in beef burger ! Oh my tian , I just can't resist beef . I am now craving for steak . Sian part is ... there is no hog breath around my area . All the outlets need to travel at least one hour . Sob sob ... 

Nothing interesting to update you all . Just typical student life . Lecture , tute , go back hostel , sleep , eat . So standardize . Maybe someone head out to stock up . That's all ~

Singapore Day ...

Singapore Day ...

Yes , finally Singapore Day is over ! I been waiting for this day for weeks ! Today , I woke up early in the morning at 9.30 am to get ready for this day . I was armed with a tupperware because I was thinking to buy some food during the event and pack it for dinner . 

So , I packed my bag in a hurry and I was already a little late as I am meeting my friend to go there together  . Heh  , I have lived in Melbourne for 3 months and I still don't know my way to many places. I have to go with a friend to the Melbourne ,  Sidney Myer Music Bowl or else I will lost my way . 

When we reached there , there is already two queues of people . We couldn't see the end of the queue . Luckily , my friend knows someone who is already in the queue . So we could queue somewhere quite in front . 

This is the picture I took when I am queueing . I don't think you can see people in the picture . But there is a line of people queueing , even after the darkest tree .

Once we enter , we collect some goodie bag and then chiong for food ah . I queue for prata , then laska , the chilli crab , chicken rice and last ... Hokkien Mee . The queue for food was horrible . We only could queue for one type of food at the time . Each time was like 1 hour to 1 and half hours . During that period of time . I kept myself busy by thinking what food am I going to have because I only can have one type at the time .  To my surprise , all the food are free ! Hence , I didn't pack any food for dinner . 

My strategy was after getting my food , I will join the queue for the next round and then eat while I am moving with the queue . I was lucky because my friend's friends are taking care of the bags . So I have eat with ease . Let me rate the food :

Prata : Average ; The prata is nice but the curry is not and its pour onto the prata , thus the prata is not crispy . If they had used chicken curry instead of potato curry . It would be better . 

Laska : Excellent ; Oh my tian ... its something I missed a lot ! The gravy was nice . Prawn was big , too bad no cockles . The noodles are not fat bee hoon but udon . It would be better if they used fat bee hoon and add cockles .

CHILLI CRAB : PERFECT ! One would expect the crab given is those small small those . BUT NO ! They gave us big ones , like those we eat in restaurants ! The sauce was superb ! Its worth the wait . I was lucky because I didn't know I was in the chilli crab queue till the person said so . I was kind of in front of the queue so I decided to stay on . Its was worth it . But later , some others queue for 3 hours for the crab .

Chicken Rice : Excellent ; The rice is a little salty but overall it was good . It took me about 1 and half hours to queue . Got a little angry , to think I need to queue for 1 and half hours for food . I think the maximum I queue for uncle weirdo is 1 hour . I was taking I am going to take my revenge back in Singapore by ordering everything . 

Hokkien Mee : Good ; I queue 45 minutes for this one . Spend most of my time to thinking , should I have BBQ chicken wings , Char kuek Teow ( I don't know how to spend this one ) or hokkien mee . The way they fried it was good but its the used the original noodles , it would be better .

Food that I had not tried are Bat Kut teh , ice-kacang , mee soto , mee siam , tea with kaya toast , bbq chicken wings , Char kuek teow and many more . 

Got tired and sat down to watch some performances ... I missed the Phua Chu Kang performance because I was busy queueing for food ... Heee ... I am Singaporean ah ... 

He is super lame , keep emphasizing on speaking chinese ( Jia Hua Yu ... ) 

To all my friends ... this is Singapore Day ( Not the day I return to Singapore ! ) , where all the Singaporean gathered for local food and performance . You will be surprised to find Malaysians faking Singaporeans too ! Some ang mohs also turn up for the event . Honest foreigners like Nicole got rejected one day before the event and so she couldn't come . 

As for my goodies bag , I had a tee , picnic mat , erasers , some note pad , balloon , lollipop , cap , lanyard , camouflage cream and tote bag . I miss out 1 goody bag which have sauces in it like kaya . Grrr ... got cheated because they said , take after the show ended because it is heavy .  

I enjoyed myself , missed Singapore A Lot ! Love the food and goody bag . Nice to have such event . I wonder where will it be next year . Thank goodness , I will be back in Singapore 2 months later !
