The first Monday of 2011
Time files ... I had this blog for about 5 years ... this is my 275th post ... my dearest lappy of 2.5 year old chui le ... not very sure its the adapter port or the adapter ... it gives me an opportunity to look back at what I had done in year 2010 and make new goals in for 2011 ...
I was asked this question at a Christmas party , " What are the things you want to give thanks to ? " I then realized it had been an eventful year for me ...
I had made many new friends in mechanical engineering. I was not sure what are my classmates perception of me. I kept very low profile in class and only know some stuff through other's mouth. As time goes by, I started talking to the people around me and realized that they are nice people. I am glad I had manage to mingle with the locals too. Now I had a hard time deciding where to graduate. I wanted to graduate in Singapore initially because my friends in Singapore will be able to attend. Now I am thinking to graduate in Melbourne because I met many new friends and also we do the course together.
I had experience a car crash. It took me 5 traffic police driving tests to get my license. Sidetrack a little , it was a miracle how I got my license. I remember during the test, the tester was more like my instructor. He kept giving me instructions like how much should I turn my steering wheel and when to stop the car else I will crash onto the kerb. I am overly carefully with my driving because I didn't know what car crash is like. My friend was driving, the first car stop too suddenly but the cars behind stopped abruptly. My friend manage to stop the car in time and we chat a little. Suddenly, the car behind us crash onto us. I remembered my head hitting the head rest twice. I got down the car with pain in my head. The accident taught me how it is like in an car accident and gave me more confidence in driving ... :)
Mirabel and Sheeren took time to visit me in Melbourne. I realized how little I know the city. I am thankful that they make time to visit me. They brought me to many new places and I manage to experience cafe culture and watch the crowd go by. As all of us grew older, things become more and more busier, I am glad they manage to take time out to pay me a little visit. They came before my exams and that spur me to work harder for my exams. I overload my subjects and surprisingly, I manage to pass all !!! XD
The last major thing was taking the plane back home. The initial drama about faulty A380 and the delay in the airport. I am so glad that the owner had not given up our reservation to someone else delay my 3 hour delay at the airport. I realized I what are things I will miss when I am gone.
Today is the first monday for 2011, I hope to graduate by the end of this year ! My new year resolution is to read menu patiently, I realized it a bad habit for me to say , " have everything on the menu " . I did that twice, one was at the cake shop, the other was at a bah ku teh store. I tend to do that when everything looks good. That's bad ... I must remember patient ...
I am doing my mask while typing this post. I realized that I had been slacky in my facial skin care since my skin got a little better. Initially I don't feel confident going out without any make up . Ever since I am been introduce to liquid foundation. I had been using that since it provide some coverage and I can use it quickly. Hahas ... My Nabara stick, concealer, brusher and eye shadow ... I feel bad towards them as I got lazy to make up.
I manage to spend my New Year with a different and unexpected group of people. I was tore between two groups of friends, I did not know which to go for, in the end I chose to for something else. Hahas ... seems like I really not like making choices ...
